ATTENTION; Nordic Skiers and Snowshoers

This trail system is managed by the Phoenix Cross Country Ski Society [PCCSS] aka; Phoenix Nordic in co-operation with Rec Sites and Trails BC.

When you enter this trailhead you are using a trail system that requires various forms of maintenance. Throughout the year we supply firewood for the Dacha and Forestry Shelter, brush cut our trail system, snow groom the trails, maintain the Dacha, Forestry Shelter and outhouses, manage a junior/adult skier program, maintain grooming equipment, club website and facebook page.

Due to these costs, we require the users of this trail system to contribute by either making a donation at the trailhead or buying a membership purchased at www.phoenixnordic.com.  The  PCCSS has the right to charge a fee for the use of these trails from November 15th to April 15th This agreement can be found in the Forestry  and Range Practices Act, Articles III and IX.Please remember to display your membership card visibly on your jacket when using these trails.  Thank you for your co-operation and enjoy the trails.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our XC ski club relies on its volunteer membership to drive the operations of the group. New members are always welcome. There are a number ways for you to get involved. Members with ideas and energy are welcome to join in the different aspects of running our club. You could also join our Board of Directors and take the lead in the direction of the society.

There are many aspects to running an XC ski organization . These include trail brushing, gathering firewood, Dacha/Shelter/Outhouse maintenance, club promotion/website, Skill Development Programs, coaching and updating trail signage. During the winter we set tracks, clear blowdowns, conduct events and run our Skier Development Programs.
