About the Campaign

Dear trail users at Marshall Lake,

Phoenix Nordic (officially Phoenix Cross Country Ski Society, but we are in the legal process of a name change) would like to celebrate the Dacha’s 25th anniversary with a re-build! The current structure holds a special place in many hearts in The Boundary, and we would like to breathe new life into this iconic building. Already we have a new concrete floor and wood stove in place, but snow is drifting in through the windows, the roof leaks, and furniture is a little lack luster. We imagine a refreshed Dacha to be somewhere you would like to enjoy a warm dinner after a beautiful night ski. Somewhere to warm up a bit on on those windy days. And somewhere to share some chit chat with other trail users you meet out in the woods. 

Now, how would you like to get to the new and improved Dacha? Why on beautifully groomed trails of course! Our club’s head groomer has a wish list for equipment we could use to make our trails even better. You know what they say; a groomed trail is a good place to live. Surely someone has said that at some point. But the point is, you can’t live on these trails, but you can enjoy them for a polite amount of time.
